Yayasan Sabah  The idea of establishing of the YAYASAN SABAH was mooted by Sabah's first Head of State, Tun Datu Haji Mustapha Bin Datu Harun, at Mesapol, Sipitang on November 9, 1965. In his speech he stated:Yayasan Sabah will act as an instituition that would strive initially to remedy the educational deficiencies in Sabah and subsequently to devise a system of redistributing the state's timber wealth to all of the populace. The initial objectives of the new foundation were largely directed to the creation of new educational opportunities; to provide ample facilities for improvement and progress in education; to widen the scope for the higher education of Sabah students throughout the world; to promote the establishment of a university college in Sabah; to arrange the award of scholarships from various institutions, including the Foundation itself, to students of Sabah origin; and to make donations to schools in need of special assistance."
KBSN Sabah  Pada 16 Oktober 1971, Kementerian Kebudayaan, Belia dan Sukan Negeri Sabah (KKBS) ditubuhkan. Penubuhan KKBS adalah usaha kerajaan negeri untuk membangunkan para belia dalam arus pembangunan negara. Pada 8 Jun 1998, kementerian kemudiannya dinamakan Kementerian Belia dan Sukan selaras dengan penyusunan semula kementerian-kementerian negeri. Pada 20 Mac 1999, kementerian ditukarkan nama dan dikenali sebagai Kementerian Pembangunan Belia, Kebudayaan dan Kemajuan Sukan Sabah. Kementerian ini sekali lagi ditukarkan nama dalam mesyuarat jemaah menteri kepada Kementerian Kebudayaan, Belia dan Sukan pada 4 April 2001. Pada 1 April 2003, ia ditukarkan nama lagi kepada Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Sabah.
Universiti Malaysia Sabah  About UMS: The date 31st January 1994 was an historic moment that brought enlightened hope to the thousands of local community members who had gathered in the small town of Beaufort, Sabah. Our esteemed Prime Minister Dato' Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad in meeting with the people made a promise that a university will be built in Sabah. The announcement was spontaneously followed by loud cheers, and became the driving force for the establishment of a university in Sabah.Thus on the 24th November 1994, a university was born, not through a daydream or a nightmare, but through a forward vision of our distinguished Prime Minister, which aspires to bring immense development and quality of life to the people here.Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) was established on 24th November 1994. His Royal highness the Yang DiPertuan Agong Proclaimed the establishment of UMS under Section 6(1) of the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971.

UiTM Sabah  Pada bulan Mac 1973, dengan bantuan dan kerjasama Yayasan Sabah dan Kerajaan Negeri Sabah, Kampus cawangan Sabah telah ditubuhkan bertempat di kampus sementara di Sembulan dengan pengambilan pertamanya seramai 159 orang pelajar pada bulan Julai, 1973. ITM Cawangan Sabah telah dibuka dengan rasminya pada 17 Ogos 1973 oleh Ketua Menteri pada ketika itu. Pada bulan Januari 1982, sebahagian besar pelajar telah dipindahkan ke kampus tetap ITM Kuala Menggatal, berikutan dengan terbinanya blok-blok asrama dan lain-lain kemudahan pelajar. ITM Cawangan Sabah kini beroperasi sepenuhnya di kampus tetap Kuala Menggatal sejak Julai 1991.
Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Sabah  What We Do 1. Develop and provide a policy and guidelines for sustainable tourism development for Sabah in line with national policies 2. Provide input on suitability/appropriateness of tourism development project if it involves: 1. application of state land, and appropriateness 2. private land, to ensure it is in line with state policies, legal requirements, zoning, marketing and promotional efforts 3. If the project is viable and developers show capacity to be able to carry out the project successfully according to state and federal policy and guidelines, the Ministry may provide appropriate letters of support and recommendations for the applicant and developers to secure the necessary financial support/loans from commercial banks.

Kementerian ini diwujudkan pada 17 November 1995 susulan kepada pengembangan keanggotaan Kabinet Negeri Tahun 1995. Pengujudan Kementerian ini termaktub dalam Warta Kerajaan Negeri Sabah Bil. 84 di bawah rujukan CMD.C.510/11/2 Pt.11 (105) bertarikh 25 Januari 1995. Jabatan dan agensi yang diletakkan di bawah tanggungjawab Kementerian adalah:-i. Jabatan Pembangunan Sumber Manusia (JPSM);ii. Unit Kemajuan IT Negeri;iii. Sabah Energy Corporation;iv. SSTC (Sabah Skills & Technology Centre);
