hey ualls....the state government should limit the tourist who would like to visit tunku abdul rahman park becoz.....
if there's no action to do that...the tunku abdul rahman park will destroy soon.....such as perhentian island in terengganu.........most of the coral reaf in perhentian island kecil already destroyed especially in teluk keke..and there's no more attraction...
in manukan island..they should control the number of water sport activities.....
and control the number of boat and tourist that want to go to the tunku abdulrahman park

I don't think the tourist are the people destroying the corals there Evarna...don't you think the illegal bombers are the culprits to be blamed for?

i explore the manukan island from 8 am-4pm.......

THE CORAL REEF DESTROY BECAUSE OF :

Fuel leakage, spills and boat anchors degrade, break and destroy reef colonies.
(Happen in tunku abdul rahman park & other island in sabah)

Live corals, collected by individuals or bought as souvenirs, reduces reefs and causes habitat loss of reef dwelling species.
(Happen in tunku abdul rahman park & other island in east sabah)

Over fishing has disrupted the ecosystem balance causing an increase in crown of thorns starfish which eat and destroy corals. (Happen in sabah)

Fishermen bomb and destroy whole areas of reef with dynamite as a quick method to catch fish (Happen in sabah)

Wastes not disposed of properly such as plastic bags, bottles and discarded fishing nets make their way out onto the reef where animals may eat them or become trapped and entangled. (Happen in sabah)

Land run off including pesticides and fertilizers pollute the waters around reefs and damage coral and fish populations. (Happen in Kota Kinabalu sabah)

Oh my, I agree with you regarding this Evarna. Don't know what the authority concerned doing. I think DBKK should do something about this cleaning business.

( Off topic: Is that your real picture Evarna? )

couldn't agree you more.. Lady_Evarna..this is what will happen if people forgot about the sweetness of cleanliness..I'd been to KK recently and to make things more 'lovely'...me and my beloved wife went to the waterfront..its sure is looks beautiful at night but sadly...that lovely beautiful night was spoilt by the bad smell comes from the seaside of the waterfront...I think those who are responsible...should do something about the smell...
